You're right, I actually find the Fakenews RPS community to be VERY respectful of the women in that fandom. Rachel's an obvious example, of course, but Jon and Stephen's wives also well-written. Rarely have I seen them portrayed as horrible bitches. Which is good, because I bet Tracey and Evelyn are freaking amazing women, and I feel such a weird kinship with them because they're in love with and married to utterly amazing men that I'm kinda in love with and wish I were married to. Plus, Jon and Stephen love them, so they MUST be cool.
So, yeah, the sexism and misogyny doesn't happen in every fandom, but it does happen in many, and it's, to put it mildly, unfortunate!
