All right, I started my essay and I've got about 500 words. I have another 4500ish to go, but it'll start getting easier over the next week or so. I found some excellent quotes to support my ideas, so I'm feeling a bit better about it.

I'm currently preparing a 5 minutes presentation on Margaret Cho for my portfolio class tomorrow. I'm almost done; I just gotta find another example of her work.

I've now written 15,000 words for Cause and Effect. It's getting monstrous!! But I know how it's going to end now, so that's exciting! Hopefully I'll be able to get it finished soon so it'll stop niggling at me like this. I'm not gonna hold my breath, though.

Oh! I've been reading HP fanfiction all day. Man, it's taking me back!

oh jesus, 15 000. okay. that's not that bad. i thought you said 58 000 earlier today, i'd i've seen 60 000 word fics before, but i was still like WHAT. that's why i was so worried about readership.
