I think I have nearly completed my Integrative Project! I figure I've got another 500 words to write and then this baby's finished! I just wanted to share this news with you because it's been a major work-in-progress for the last month and a half. I can't wait to be done with it!

After that I've got an essay due on Fight Club, and then I'll be a couple weeks away from the end of the semester. Can't wait. I'll be able to focus on my Psych fic and give it the love it deserves.

I went grocery shopping on Thursday and now I have food in my apartment. Man, I love food. I bought some vegetable hummus and it is incredibly delicious.

Tangent: Know what pisses me off? There's this guy on American Idol this season called Adam Lambert who is quite talented and awesome, and he happens to be gay. All over YouTube, people are like, "gay or not, he is awesome". I know the internet is full of stupid and I should probably just ignore it, but goddamn it, what the fuck does that have to do with anything? Ugh.

Mmmm I missed my gym class today. Slept in instead. I feel really good, though, and I'm not sure how good I'd feel it I'd done yoga for two hours when I'm still recovering from this damn cold.

I gotta get my ass in gear. I'm so fucking lazy these days, and it isn't good for anyone. I just sit on my ass and listen to music, eat everything in my apartment, and wander around downtown aimlessly.

My Psych fic's still coming along, although I've hit a minor standstill... I did find a link to an introduction of the California Criminal Justice System which gave me some good info, but I still need to figure out what Shawn's attackers can be legally charged with. If anyone here is knowledgable about the criminal justice system in general, please drop me a line. I have a few (i.e. many) questions, like what constitutes as attempted murder. Also about the court process, and how viable it is that an attempted murder case would go to trail, and then how long the trial would go on for. Finally, I need to know in what order the witnesses would called to testify on the stand. When, for example, would Lassiter be called to the stand if he was the preliminary investigator on Shawn's case? Before or after Shawn was called to the stand? Before or after Shawn's (alleged, but not really) attackers?

Man, this is a eally daunting task. Who am I kidding? I'm totally screwed.

Dear DVD Player,

If I could just begin with a spirited "fuck you", it would really set the tone for the rest of this letter. I find it... shall we say really fucking annoying that you've chosen to cop out on me halfway through the Psych season finale. It is an inconvenience, and I really must call you out on it.

Now I realize we've had a rocky relationship in the past. I mean, you're always bailing on me at the worst possible times, and you're constantly being very inconsiderate of my time and feelings. I'll acknowledge that I am not always the most patient person when it comes to dealing with you, but I would say that I've been fairly understanding in the past.

But during the Psych season finale? When Shawn's going up against a damn serial killer? I mean, really, you couldn't have picked a worse time to have a mental breakdown! I get it; sometimes you're overworked, you need a rest, you're feeling a bit indignant. It;s understandable. But this is Psych we're talking about, Psych you're messing with. Please... have some mercy! Give me a break!

Your weakness is forcing me to set my alarm for 9 tomorrow morning, at which point I will trek over to school and watch the rest of the episode. I hold you entirely responsible for my sleep deprivation, and I hope you know I won't be forgetting this anytime soon.

So I lost my phone over the weekend. I went to a loft party Friday night, and consumed some (read: copious amounts) of alcohol. As such, I was not entirely in my right mind for a good part of the night. All of a sudden I realized my phone wasn't in my pocket, and then I kind of flipped out. The drunkenness didn't help.

I wandered around the loft searching for a while. Then I ran outside without my jacket, and sprinted the two blocks to the depanneur we went to shortly after I last saw my phone. I couldn't find it, so I started sobbing hysterically and went back to the party. Graceful!

Then my best friend puked all over her shoes and went collapsed sleepily on a mattress on the floor, and another friend of mine helped me search. Eventually I gave it up for lost (in between sobs) and the latter friend and I went back to her place. I slept it off and woke up the next morning feeling incredibly stupid.

BUT.

I have a new phone! It is a pink slide LG, my friends, and it is beautiful. I'm glad I got it because I've been wanting/needing a phone for a while now; the back of the old one kept falling off and getting lost in my room or pocket, and it had many bumps and scratches on it (kinda like me on the day after the party). Still, I will miss that phone, and the various pictures I had on there (the memories!) and all my ringtones. Goddamnit.

Also, I finished my first sculpture project for Sculpture 1, and I'm pretty okay with it. When I get a chance I'll take some photos of it and upload them to here. Fun!

Last night I stumbled upon the greatest Psych fic I've ever read. It's called '1930' and it can be found over at laytoncolt. A must-read if you are a fan of Psych. It's nearly perfect! Additionally, regann updated Occupational Hazards, which I never thought would happen, and it's a dream come true of an update. Now all I need is for Liz (deadlybride to update The Third Law and I will be a happy camper!
