OMG THIS COMMENT. Like, you don't even know how much of a relief this waiting for me when I woke up the morning after I posted it. You have no idea, it means so freaking much, THANK YOU.
I don't believe Adam played football in real life. As I understand it, sports were not remotely his forte. However, there is a wonderful photo of Adam from a stage performance he did sometime before Idol, where he dressed as a football player. You should see it, someone posted it in one of the comments below yours. The jersey perfectly displays his hunky, broad shoulders and the yummy way he holds himself and he's got blond hair. I can't pretend that picture wasn't the sole inspiration for this story. :DDD
Neil, Neil, Neil. Oh, how I love Neil. I had to give him an awesome role in this, and in the end? I'm really happy with how he came about, and I'm so glad you (and so many others, WOOHOO!) like my portrayal of him. I really do love him!
(MRS. JACKSON. YOU KNOW, I HAVE THIS DELETED SCENE. OR, MORE LIKE, A SCENE I NEVER WROTE BUT CONTEMPLATED WRITING BEFORE ULTIMATELY SCRAPPING IT, WHERE MRS. JACKSON PULLS KRIS AND ADAM ASIDE AFTER GRAD AND SAYS (SHE MAY HAVE HAD A GLASS OR TWO OF WINE, IDK), "YOU TWO ARE THE EMBODIMENT OF GROUP WORK SUCCESS. I COULDN'T HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER EXAMPLE."
I am seriously so glad this worked for you on all these levels, but on The Future level especially. That is such good news. THANK YOU. You are THE BEST!
