(no subject)

So my Psych fic is coming along nicely (*knock on wood*). This is the longest I've worked on any one piece in almost five years, and I'm really happy with it so far. It feels like my baby, whereas my other Psych fics felt like preparation for this one.

I'm just struggling a little bit with some details, mostly law-related. A good chunk of the fic takes place during a court case and I don't know much about the lingo or the rules of a case. I know only what I've seen on television and in movies. It would be so easy to just leave it out, but I don't want to do that and I think it would be a cop out, too.

The writing's a lot easier than it's been for some time. I don't feel like I'm forcing it. I like it.
