To be fair, this was kinda the first time I was honestly appalled at something Israel did, but then I got some more info and I do understand the numbers and logci behind it, but still... This is the closest I've ever come to doubting Israel.

No no, I'm not saying Israel is without blame, but if Hamas doesn't stop, Israel won't either. It's essential that they have a proper ceasefire or more and more people are going to die. That's why I was hoping Hamas could just... ya know, stop. It would be real cool.
Also, YES!!!!! What are you doing on Friday (the 2nd)? I'm gonna be in NDG around noon, it would make things very easy! Othwerise it'll have to be next week. It's kind of a crazy week. What say you?
I think the situation is just . . . horrifically complicated. I still need to learn more, but I think I can understand why things are in a downward spiral for both sides. From what I understand, Hamas would have renewed the ceasefire if Israel weren't starving the Palestineans, but Hamas has still been bombing things it shouldn't, and . . . agh. It's just a really shitty situation, and I feel awful for everyone involved, especially all the civilians being killed or injured or starved.
I know. I just... I don't know, I hate the whole situation. I'm not on any side per se, I just want the violence to stop, and the only way I see that happening is if Hamas stops.
Yeah, I'm not on a side so much as one of those horrified by-standers. I don't think Hamas stopping will solve the problem of Palestinians being starved, though. I have no idea what a solution would be for them. It just . . . it really, really bites, all around.
