Oct. 1st, 2005 01:06 pmHaven't written a proper entry in quite a while. I've been busy with everything - school stuff, church stuff, social stuff. Lots of stuff. I just took my first of three math exams that I need to take in order to get into Psychology in CEGEP and I'm almost positive that I passed it. Otherwise I'll have to take a retest on October 9th. Cross your fingers, pray for me, spare me a thought.
I'm also been entirely busy with meetings and appointments. I've been getting a bit stressed about it too. I'm sure it'll be OK though.
My week's been absolutely grand. My exam's over and done with, I got House MD Season 1 on DVD two days ago (House fest? You bet!), and I watched the Corpse BRide last night. Can you tell? My icon picture is of Victor Van Dort, who - to put it mildly and simply - is now the absolute love of my life. I truly hope I meet a real person that's like Victor so I can marry him and listen to him play enchanting piano and have intriguing conversations with him whenever I feel like it.
So the movie was amazing. I've now gotten all the music for a it and I'm listening to it a lot - too much, honestly. The plot was genius, the animation was wonderful, the voices actors all did a superb job, and it was just unbelievably entertaining. Plus, I have really become obsessed with Victor, which is wonderful. I have to see this movie once more in the cinema (at least!) and then I have to buy the movie on DVD and the soundtrack when they come out. The Corpse Bride is now possibly me favourite movie of all time. The ending to his movie was so beautiful. I really enjoyed myself. :D
So here's some lyrics to read from Tears to Shed from (what else?) the Corpse Bride:
If I touch a burning candle I can feel no pain
In the ice or in the sun it's all the same
Yet I feel my heart is aching
Though it doesn't beat it's breaking
And the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
I know that I am dead
But it seems that I still have some
Tears to shed
Yeah, so Emily (the Corpse Bride) sings this. It's beautiful. See this movie. Right now. Go.
