So I just got home from attending a good friend's CD Launch. His name is Jon Davis, and he is an astounding artist. He performed the songs on his debut album Golden Hue at the Sala Rosa here in Montreal, to an enthusiastic and large crowd.

His album had been in the works for the last five years (closer to ten, actually), and that time was spent perfecting his crafts which are songwriting, singing, guitar and piano playing. He created every aspect of this album, and he deserves the credit, excitement and support.

He's backed by electric and acoustic guitar, drums, cello, violin, viola, french horn, and stand-up bass. He wrote every song and composed every note, and it is a humble, genuine, and beautiful piece of work to behold.
