rockinhamburger: (Oh Kurt!)
Okay, so, over the course of the last several months I've been focused intently on school. But I can't stop the Glee bunnies from hopping in once in a while, and because I haven't posted much lately, I wanted to share some of the bits and pieces of what I've been working on and thinking about on the sidelines when I wasn't hunched over my desk in an effort to memorize sociological theories and the etiologies of autism, cerebral palsy and Rett Syndrome.

So here you have five unrelated stories that are either works-in-progress, stories that didn't make it to fruition, and an extra scene from a previous story of mine. All except one are Klaine-related, and the odd man out is a Kurt-Burt scene. They range from G to NC-17.

I hope they're somewhat interesting to you, and please let me know what you think of them.

This way for the bunnies! )

You may already be aware that I'm in the throes of writing my bigbang fic for the Kradam and Glambert challenges. The Kradam minimum is 10,000 words while the Glambert minimum is 20,000.

Status update on my AI bigbang fic as of today:

10,000 words down! Surpassed the Kradam minimum! Which means I have just 10,000 more words to go 'til I reach the Glambert minimum word count! So, yeah. Not remotely finished yet, but that's okay; inspiration has finally hit me, and the writing's coming along much better these days.

In case you're wondering, I'm writing a Kris/Adam high school AU. I don't know whether that excites or horrifies you (or both), but it's certainly how I feel about writing it! So, so scary.

But hitting the 10,000-word mark is encouraging and such a relief!

So, Neil Lambert, brother of Adam, actually went to Burning Man with Adam and Brad a few years back. There is pictoral evidence of this adventure. Why does this excite me? Because I knew it before Neil said it. Last week sometime I was looking up Bradam pics (as I ~occasionally do), and there was Neil -- not dressed in very much. And I really like Neil, so my heart did a little leap in my chest.

Well, according to his Twitter, it really was him, and I actually AM that ridiculously observant, and apparently know fairly well what Neil looks like on sight. 'Cause I'm a creep like that...

On Twitter, Neil set up a PayPal yesterday so people could donate money for him to purchase a piano, which he is reportedly naming Delilah. He's a decent piano player, and he's promised ridiculous get-ups and Adam coversongs if it happens. Adam tweeted to Neil that he totally would''ve bought him the piano if he'd asked for it. So Neil will probably donate the money to a charity and then Adam'll just buy it for him. Pretty sure Adam can afford it.

Dude. I spend WAY too much time caring about the Lambert family. I know you don't care about Adam Lambert's brother's happenings, but I really do so I'm lj-ing about it. Seriously, if my credit card wasn't maxed out, I'd totally donate some money to him. And not just to see my Twitter name in one of his tweets.

LOSER CENTRAL OVER HERE.

WHATEVAAAA, TODAY'S A GOOD DAY!!!

[livejournal.com profile] itsmadeofgold wrote Sing Without a Song, a 40,000-word epic love story AU where Adam's a famous rock star who walks into the gay bar Kris frequents in Arkansas one night. THIS IS AN AMAZING STORY, which you must read at your earliest convenience if you are an AI fan, especially if you're into Kradam. Awesome characterizations, brilliant narrative, and scary-excellent dialogue. Read iiiiit!

To celebrate the awesomeness of today, I will attempt to write some fic tonight.
